Massage Therapy is a manual soft tissue therapy focused on decreasing tension, stress, and pain. With a commitment to patient centred care, together, we will find the best combination of techniques to allow you to move with ease through the world.
Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)
This technique combines passive and active movements of the limbs. Often involving traction, oscillation (stretch wave) and PNF to smooth out movement in the joints, increase range of motion and decrease tension in the fascial (connective tissue) web for a lighter, spacious, ease throughout the body. Client wears athletic stretchy clothing that will not inhibit movement.
Cranial Sacral Therapy
CST is a gentle, hands on technique that never uses more then about 5 grams of pressure (about the weight of a nickel) to release and assess restrictions in the cranial sacral system- which is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surrounds and protects the brain and spinal cord. This is a deeply relaxing treatment that aids in regulating the central nervous system.
